On a cold and sunny day late this winter, we had a chat with Coty Edwards, head distiller at Hidden Still Spirits in Hershey, Pennsylvania.
“One of the big things here at Hidden Still is authenticity,” Coty said. “I think we’re making an offer of very high-quality items at very, very affordable and manageable prices.
Hidden Still Spirits is a whiskey-focused craft distillery located on Chocolate Avenue in Hershey. There, the team has converted an old industrial plant once used by Hershey in the production of chocolate products into a state-of-the-art whiskey and spirits distillation site. The site ferments, distills and matures their whiskeys on site, including their David E. line of bourbon and rye products.
In addition to whiskey, the David E. portfolio lineup includes vodka, spiced rum, Old Farm Rye Whiskey, gin, Blue Eyed Six Whiskey, aged rum and agave spirit. In the short time since the products launched in our Pittsburgh and Philadelphia retail locations, customers have received the David E. whiskeys extremely well. And the agave spirit has been received especially well by on-premise bar managers and buyers, who see a Pennsylvania made 100% Blue Weber agave spirit resonates with customers who recognize the quality as on-par with top premium tequila brands like Patrón, Don Julio and 1800.
