(47.5% ABV; 95 proof) New Liberty Bloody Butcher Bourbon celebrates our nation’s early agricultural heritage. We sourced Bloody Butcher corn from Castle Valley Mill in Doylestown, PA, just 25 miles from our distillery, and combined it with malted rye and barley from Deer Creek Malthouse.
This edition utilizes the traditional sour mash technique with another local twist:
A sourdough starter from local breadbasket High Street Cafe was added to the fermentation and ensure a flavor rich, delicious batch of bourbon. We’re proud to have brought back the best of the breadbasket of the colonies and put it in a bottle. Enjoy it neat or in a number of classic bourbon cocktails.
