Rum was the dominant spirit in the US until 1807 when the notorious Triangle Trade came to a sudden halt and so did the supply of the much loved spirit. Monongahela Rye whiskey filled the need quite nicely, and
Western Pennsylvania had a virtual monopoly on its production. Our Rye cask finished Rum mixes the traditions of Western Pennsylvania Whiskey with the traditions of rum in the region to make our Rumskey a very unique spirit, touched by the spice of rye and oak imparted with our barrel finish.
