100% 2017 Merlot. Vineyard: John and Cindy Moorhead Farms. Fermentation: On skins for 7 days, punch downs 3 times a day. Aged 19 months in new and used American and French oak Barrels. Presque Isle’s Merlot is a medium bodied wine with silky tannins. When you approach this wine you’ll experience some pomegranate and vanilla, and it ultimately finishes with a little oak, berry, and coconut. This wine pairs nicely with savory stew dishes or with some dark chocolate.
