ABV: 35% Proof: 70. This starts as a blend of two different rums, one from St. Croix and one from Jamaica. They then macerate the rum with toasted coconut and then proofed down with Demerara sugar. Finally they add two different tinctures, a cacao and a vanilla, all this to highlight the nuttiness of the coconut. On the nose you’ll find some vanilla, fresh shaved coconut and a touch of the base rums. On the palate you also get a hint of the base rum but the creamy, toasty, nutty, coconut flavor takes over and makes this a dangerously easy drinking spirit that isn’t nearly as sweet as mainstream coconut rums.
