ABV: 32.5 Proof: 65. Made with the same neutral grain base (100% Corn) they use to make bluecoat. They add natural ingredients including, cinnamon, nutmeg, rose hips, kola nut, elderflower. Sweetened with muscavdo, a sugar which has a molasses flavor, almost a cross between brown sugar and Demerara. Different double maceration process than the absinthe, they start macerating with one set of botanicals then add more later on. They “age” the amaro by maturing it with toasted oak cubes for 2 weeks. It is a spice forward liqueur that’s sweet with notes of fruit and herbal tones as well.
